Exposition de peinture
Descriptif
Caroline Watrigant is a painter and landscape artist with a passion for the beauty of the island world where she now lives. Her works transport us to a horizon of no return, the "ultimate line",
she says, "that underscores the infinite and reveals to us all the staggering beauty of things"...
An unreasonable portraitist of human diversity, "my characters", she adds, "painted from behind, remind us of the ups and downs of our own lives".
Caroline Watrigant, it's true, has always been immersed in this universe of art and curiosity, with a mother who was a watercolor painter, and then, as a child, vacations on the Ile de Ré with her grandparents, hence her love of the islands. She has been living on the Ile d'Oléron since 2009.
